The project started by collecting natural remains - mushrooms, branches, bark, sand - in the forest in Eindhoven, which became part of a documentation on our surroundings. Our interest grew in unnoticed and unexpected details : marks of animals, bugs patterns, growth rings, cracks, traces of natural phenomenons, all considered as damaged signs on trees. The exploration extended to shapes and volumes, as we realized that our usual way of connecting with nature is to find function within. A log becomes a table, a branch becomes a hanger, a trunk becomes a bench… The following series of furniture results from our simple interaction with the forest. Postures, activities, functions and dimensions are entirely guided by the findings, creating the standards in our design. By using dying branches and logs for firewood, we look for surprising qualities while emphasize the surroundings of the pieces. Simply connected together, the furnitures are traces of the ecosystem they grew in. Through the details of the skin and the imperfect features, tactility emerges from the daily use, creating a dialogue between human activities and forest phenomenons in the domestic space. Those marks, less valuable in the timber industry, bring awareness around materials used in furniture making. As machinery is made for manufactured forms, the approach is necessarily slow and in close contact with the material. What Does it mean to be defined and categorised in the society? It explores the categorisation in typography, types decide the tone of the text and impact the message that are written with. &nbsp; The starting point of this project was based on my experience, I wanted to hide my handwiting for a warning letter and mimicked how old man would write. I didn’t want to be addressed as who I am socially, a girl. It gave me an insight of how typography can be related to social categories, how social context applies to graphic design. &lt;Un-defiend&gt; tries to break the rules of traditional categorisation of types and create its own identity. It is u inspired from&nbsp; black mails in a movie, how they cut out letters from magazines or news letters and colleague them to hide who they are. glitched patterns started from my interest in glitched spaces and the narratives behind glitches. Glitches can arise from errors in code, it allows a space for imagination, liberation and the freedom not to be defined. While the process of making those textiles, the machine was manually switched on and off in the middle or at the beginning of each pattern. Therefore, the patterns were not finished, glitched and blurred with the others. It resulted in unrecognisable knitted patterns made by constantly intended errors.&nbsp; In the book Archaeogaming: An Introduction to Archaeology in and of Video Games, Reinhard says “Glitches are artefacts created from the intersection of hardware, software, and platform”, glitches happen in these in-between spaces between digital and the physical worlds. It refers to the term ‘Ghost in the machine”, it seems like there is somebody that breaks the system. According to the article, Burn the glitch?: An archaeology of digital queers, Glitch is a sign of showing that in some stances, there is always labour involved in the production. For example, the writer considers fingerprints that are found on pottery and other materials similar to glitches, it provides more information about the production process and the labour involved. &lt;Lost in&gt; is a project which was done while my internship at Make Eindhoven.&nbsp; While my internship I found&nbsp; techniques of metal casting using various burnable materials such as polystyrene, textiles. Using diffrent materials for casting allows to preserve the chracteristics of each material.&nbsp; For the &lt;Lost in&gt; series, jute fabric, cardboard and polystyrene were used.
